Welcome, friend! This blog is meant to be a safe place for women as well as non-binary people, trans women, and anyone with a vulva. Honestly inclusive of every variation of human being, being mindful of race, ability or disability, religion/spirituality, and personal beliefs.

While we strive to be a true safe space for women (and when we say women, please know that we mean what we said. Womanhood isn't a one-size fits all narrative. There are gay women, trans women, trans men who have a vulva, non-binary people, and an array of people in between who fit into every category and also those who don't fit any) we want to make it well known that we are not perfect, and will likely make mistakes. Not only that, but as a cis white woman leading the way, the idea that our team (who as of today is only me) could make the perfect safe space for Black women, for example, is simply naive. However, I want to be inclusive. I want to learn and to grow.
Another caveat to the "safety" of this space-- safe doesn't mean "comfortable." Safe means a judgement-free zone, not a challenge-free zone. I hope that those of you who stick around or discover this blog along our journey to carving out a space for ALL women feel you have learned or unlearned things.
"Womanhood" is again, not a one-size-fits-all thing. We are all uniquely struggling and thriving with our lot in life. Our race, religion, sexuality, gender, abilities/disabilities, upbringing, financial background all play roles in forming who we are.
This blog is all things women and the joy, pain, hurdles, that makes us who we are. Each issue may not resonate, with you, which is why we have divided our blog to reflect the following areas:
Relationships
LGBTQIA+
Race
Parenting
Disability
Career
Lifestyle
Purpose
We hope these categories grow and change as we do— and as more women feel safe contributing to the blog and eventually the community.
All of that to say, be welcome! Whomever you are and wherever you come from, if you agree with everything or disagree and love a spirited and respectful debate, WELCOME! You matter, and your thoughts and ideas matter. I hope you are impacted in a positive way!
